Our featured guest – Sandy Rios is the Director of Governmental Affairs for the American Family Association.  She also serves Vice President of Family-Pac Federal, as a conservative columnist and host of Sandy Rios in the Morning on AFR Talk.

The American Family Association is one of the largest, most effective pro-family grassroots organizations in the country.  Family-Pac Federal is a national conservative political action committee which focuses on economic and social issues and works to support conservative candidates.  “Sandy Rios in the Morning” is heard on 190 stations.  Sandy provides the latest from DC with the savvy of an insider equipped with a Christian perspective.

Sandy Rios joined the Fox News Channel as a contributor in 2005. She has appeared regularly on the O’Reilly Factor, Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck, Neil Cavuto, and Megyn Kelly.

Whether defending America’s Military, advocating for religious freedom, analyzing presidential politics, or the social and moral dilemmas of the day, Sandy brings her passion to a wide variety of issues.

Breitbart, The Daily Caller,, RealClear Politics, and AFR’s new outlet, “The Stand,” are all outlets for Sandy’s commentary. She is the former President of Culture Campaign and was ten years the host of the Sandy Rios Show in Chicago.  She began her national career interviewing newsmakers and pundits like Ann Coulter, Steve Forbes, Ambassador John Bolton, Juan Williams, Bill Kristol, as well as congressmen and presidential candidates. The National Religious Broadcasters chose Sandy as their 2010 Radio Personality of the Year. She has received an Angel Award, a TESLA, and seven Silver Microphone Awards for her work in radio.

As the former President of Concerned Women For America, the nation’s largest public policy women’s organization, Sandy hosted a nationally syndicated radio show that aired in most major cities in the US and parts of Canada. She frequently appeared on ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, and guest hosted CNN’s Crossfire.

Formerly Chairman of the North Korea Freedom Coalition, Sandy has done investigative work in China, Vietnam, North Korea, Thailand, Cambodia, the Soviet Union, and India. She lived in Berlin, Germany for two years.

Sandy is married to a retired FBI Special Agent. She has a son, who is writer and pastor, married to an artist who together have three children. Sandy’s daughter, Sasha, severely disabled since birth, passed away in 2009. Before embarking on her career in radio and television. Sandy was a professional musician and singer.
