Celebrate the 4th? Read the Declaration!

Each year that passes, we often add one more event in early July of assembling with fellow Americans, gazing at the sky at the onset of night, reveling at the “…Rockets’ red glare and bombs bursting in air…

This year, make it a point to also read or re-read the Declaration of Independence. Read the items of intolerable tyranny that moved Americans to mutually pledge to one another their “lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor” toward a struggle for Independence, Liberty and Freedom.

Take note, if you will, of where “King George” – in the growing awareness of many – has re-emerged into our contemporary modern lives in the form of executive orders, judicial activism, unelected agencies, unenforced or otherwise ignored laws; a governmental system of checks and balances that is neither checked nor balanced.
